Our brand was born from our greatest frustration as parents. Ava, our now 7-year-old daughter, is autistic and with limited verbal skills, thus posed as a challenge with the potty. Doctors and teachers all said that she will use the potty when she's ready.

However, over the years, as our frustration as parents grew and we kept purchasing diapers and pull-ups with no other alternatives, Ava couldn’t master the potty quickly like most peers her age. We tried everything to help her nothing worked. Not only were the pull-ups expensive, but she too becomes comfortable with and even dependant on them.  Ava couldn't communicate with us that she has the urge to use the potty but would just go.


People external of our family and friends would see Ava in diapers and throw stones (figuratively). We were concerned that we were putting too much on Ava's teachers who already had enough on their plates. One day, mom had enough. She was adamant to potty train Ava or find a leak-proof yet comfortable alternative. So, she toiled away night and day creating her own leak-proof, reusable, washable underwear. After weeks of trial and error, she finally created underwear that Ava would appreciate. Ava wore it to school, to the park, to family events following a strict consistent potty training schedule. Eventually, with time, Ava was able to master the potty and she stayed dry! 

We knew that if we were struggling with this task, then there are other parents, caregivers and teachers who found the same struggle and we decided to use this prototype to begin Tony and Ava, an adaptive and leak-proof clothing company.

Our very first product is our adaptive leak-proof underwear with the easy-open sides. This inner lining of the underwear has 4 layers to keep the body dry and comfortable. The first layer is made with breathable anti-bacterial and fights odors. The second and third layers are made with moisture-wicking and ultra-absorbent fibers that absorb the bodily wastes. The last layer is lined with PUL leakproof that prevents it from sipping through.  Our underwear body is made with soft, comfortable, stay dry material and highly absorbent.
